Yaqi Zhang, M.D. Associate professor, Deputy Director of Department of Hepatobiliary Oncology

Dr. Zhang was born in 1950.He received his M.D. from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) in 1976,and finished hid residency training program in the department of abdominal surgery, Cancer Center, SUMS. He conducted clinical studies of liver cancer involving surgical management and intervention therapy. He was promoted to be an associate professor in 1996. Dr. Zhang plays an important role in many clinical trials supported by various grants, including the project supported by the 9th 5-Year National Medical Strategic Science and Technology Plan from the Ministry of Public Health, focusing on reducing the relapse rate of liver cancer and evaluation of interventional therapy of liver cancer.
